LAMI is a wall storage unit with a versatile removable tray, also functioning as a storage cover. Its top surface doubles as a space-efficient workstation, ideal for compact living. The tray is easily portable, making it convenient for use on a couch or bed.

This initiative involves a collaboration with BoConcept, a contemporary global furniture enterprise. They have presented the students at Emily Carr University with the challenge of designing a furniture piece that seamlessly integrates and engages both the wall and the sofa, focusing on functional cohesion.

LAMI represents a wall-mounted storage solution featuring a detachable tray that serves a dual purpose as a storage cover. Its upper surface can conveniently transform into a compact workstation, catering to the needs of those residing in limited spaces. The removable tray offers versatile usability, whether as a couch or bed accessory, with effortless portability and repositioning.

Initial idea

The initial concept was straightforward; however, it didn't fully align with all the criteria for wall storage. This prompted us to return to the drawing board, leading to the creation of LAMI.
