Meowmate

My project was inspired by my cat, who has been a constant source of inspiration. Many pet owners tend to view their pets as friends or even treat them like members of the family. I noticed a plethora of under-designed and unprofessional products in the market. This observation prompted me to delve into product analysis, where I not only evaluated functionality but also delved into aspects like aesthetics, materials, colours, and ergonomics while examining various products.

Guided by the companionship of my cat, this project unfolded through stages of empathetic exploration, visual design, surveys, interviews, and iterative prototyping. Refinements emerged as I revisited sketches, integrated persona-based scenarios, and conducted real tests with my cat to gauge her preferences. The culmination of this process yielded a final product that harmoniously merges aesthetics and usability, all underpinned by the inspiration drawn from the profound connection between pets and their owners.

In the wake of crafting a carrier tailored to my cat's needs, a revelation dawned upon me: a global platform was needed, a space where the brilliance of pet enthusiasts could intermingle and flourish. Thus, MeowMate came into existence—a haven for pet lovers to openly exchange ingenious ideas, fostering a community where the love for animals is translated into innovative solutions for all to embrace.
